BRUSHING & FLOSSING

Beauty and the teeth.

Brush away that bacteria twice a day, everyday. And if you're not flossin', your teeth aren't glossin'. Most people spend more time brushing their hair than brushing their teeth. If you think your breath won't be gross if you don't brush and floss, try skipping that shower for a while. Any questions?

D-K D-fence!

Bacteria love leftovers. If you don't brush and floss, your mouth will turn into a bacteria factory and create all sorts of plaque. Next it's the cavities and big time problems with your gums. This plaque also leaves an ugly glaze on your teeth. And your breath, well, like we mentioned earlier, it won't be pleasant.

Clean machine

Visit your dentist at least twice a year. Dentists can clean all those hiding places around your teeth where bacteria like to hang out and turn into plaque. Dentists can also can spot potential problems and recommend what's best for you.

Helpful hygiene hints:

Brush your tongue. This removes bacteria and freshens your breath. Don't be too rough. Aggressive brushing can irritate your teeth and gums. (and loosen those braces!)

So, be nice to your teeth and your breath. Brush and floss every day.

Dingus & Rivoli Orthodontics can answer your questions about how to keep those great teeth clean while wearing braces.
